KDVD: Transcoding audio from 44.1kHz to 48.kHz ?
I have a question about transcoding my 44.1khz audio to 48khz to make it DVD compliant. I usually let DVD-lab do this with its internal audio engine, and the audio turns out perfectly, but I just find that the process to be very slow and I don't know how to do any batch processing with it. Can Besweet be done to do the same thing? On the main Besweet tab, if I select Force Input Sample Rate to 48000 the resulting file sounds really high pitched. Same thing if I select a similar option in the 2Lame tab. However the mpa files created by DVD-lab play fine in winamp. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Wityh besweet you have to use the tab "SSRC" (sound sampling rate change) for achieving a perfect 44.1 -> 48khz conversion.
Set the parameters in the SSRC window and check the chekbox "SSRC" on the main window of besweet. |
[smacks head] so THAT'S what SSRC stands for! I might have figured that out on my own, but was thrown off by the main window saying "Downconvert Sample Rate", which to me means 48 --> 44.1. Whodda thunk it also means UPconvert???? :D
Thanks Dialhot, it worked perfectly! |
