CQMatic and Divx? Or should I use ToK?
Sorry guys I've been gona awhile. Can CQMatic accuratly predict and convert avi files to KVCD or should I use ToK? This is the first time I'm doing a avi to KVCD instead of dvd to kvcd that i'm used to
Thanks |
when i use cqmatic, it always gives me a cq of 89.77 on avi files. So i use ToK, or use manual prediction.
but cqmatic might work for you, just test them out. :D |

i have asked for help but it still doesn't work. how long does CQMatic usually take? because when i use it, it takes like 2 seconds and then it says final cq is 89.77 :?
|
5 to 10 minutes per try. So that clear that it doesn't do anythign on your PC.
First, did you set the path to TMPGENC in CQMatic settings ? |
i'm sure i did, but i'll try it again.
|
After you try, post here the log of CQMatic.
Note: I have reinstalled CQMatic tghis afternoon and forgot to give the path to tmpgenc. The result was exactly the one you have. And that's normal indeed ;-) |
Yeah it works now. thanks dialhot
Code:

what are you guys setting as max/min bitrate in tmpgenc when using cqmatic with divx/xvid files?

dialhot, what do you mean by "The min is tied to the standalone"? Right now I have 300min, 2500max. Why do you use 64? Does anyone use 0.57*average anymore?

That will save some bits, which can then be used in the high end (MAX) for high action scenes. Quote:
I think the 0.57*average is not really needed if you use X3 mode with CQMatic. -kwag |
