first sorry for the bad title, but i had no idea how to "explain" it short or give this topic a useful title...

well, here's my problem:
after a few ther problems, cqmatic now finally works great
but:
i now have a video where cqmatic first encodes ~1:20min normal, but then there are 40 seconds only black (seems not to be error, but a part of the (end) of the video...). at 1:20 the sample file is ~12mb, after 12 minutes it isnt much bigger (max. ~13mb), cause only black needs not much "space"...

so of course the cq is wrong and to high:
over 72 @ 121min, MPEG-1 PAL 25Fps 480x576

how can i solve this problem or say cqmatic not to use this (the black) part for calculating the cq (or how can i say cqmatic to use less than 40 secondsof the black part...)???

hope someone can help (and understand) me.
sorry for my bad english

Excuse me but CQMatic take 120 samples of one second a along the movie. If 40s of the sample is black, that means that the last THIRD of you video is only a black screen.

For sure there is an error somewhere.

well thx 4 your answer, but theres nothing black in the movie...
here's the solution and the error:
i chosed the vob file direct with tmpgenc, instead of the d2v file...
(well tmpgenc ook the vob file without an error, and encoded the beginn without errors...)

Then your .d2v is corrupt.
Re-run DVD2AVI and create your .d2v project again.
