KVCD Resolution, will 2:35:1 movie look better than 1:85:1 movie?

i was wondering if anyone has found a way to make 352X480 work on a pioneer-dv-333, i know on the template page it says it doesn't work but is there a way to change the setting in tmpgenc to center the image or use a custom size or anything? i'm also wondering if anyone has tried the setting with mpeg-2 video, i am only asking cause i can get 352X480 to work on my player for svcd's but not vcd

? will a 2:35:1 movie look better than a 1:85:1 movie with your templates?

templates?

I have a Pioneer DV-343. It also does not like 352x480 Mpeg1 at all.

But, my player has no issues with 352x480 Mpeg2 either using standard TmpGenc templates or Kwag's Half D1 templates for DVD (KDVD) as these are a valid DVD resolution.

It would make sense that your player responds the same way ...
