Nero considers 480x480 SVCD compliant.

SKVCD and my WinTV2000 consider 352x480 SVCD compliant.

Are both actually "compliant"?

These are both valid resolutions.
I think compliant is everything that passes to your dvd-player

compliant means what is supported by the standard.
352*480 isn't SVCD compliant, but is XSVCD compliant. Not the same word because a player that is "SVCD compliant" is not mandatory to accept everything that is XSVCD compliant.

Although you guys always stress that we check field order, I had Futurama in wrong order in TMPGenc and was using Telecide() without parameter. Your version 4 looks great now. Version 2 looked good when I tested it with correct field order. From now on, I'll check before leaping in. With the cartoon, they looked about the same, although the size with Version 4 was about 10MB smaller. 259/249MB for final MPG's at 74.19CQ (3 episodes per CD).

Both Version 2 and 4 produce much smoother output than the standard optimal scipt or other scripts listed on the site. My player is very sensitive and I can really see improvements when they happen.

I do have one question, though. I can set the field order with Telecide(x), but what bearing does the field order in TMPGenc have when running an AVS script? I am setting both the same, of course, but was wondering.
