Sorry........another stupid question from me...... I can't figure this out.

My broter in law viewed a DIVX converted KVCD from me but the movie turns up "squashed" vertically on his 4:3 TV.

I alwas use "encode as 16:9 (borders added)" also for DivX conversions.

Shoud I have used "encode as 4:3" ?

All depend what you have in your script. But if you use the optimal script we provide here, they all give a 4:3 with the borders already added. So you musn't use "16:9 (borders added)" because this means "borders added by D2S" so you will have twice the borders needed.

Yes I always use the optimal (DivX and MA) scripts.

I never have problems myself on the 16:9/wide screen TV set (I set it manually to "16:9" or "16:9 with subs".

Only on 4:3 TV's these borders seem too big.

What aspect ratio should I chose then in DVD2SVCD ?
