The New OLD CQMatic problem - Final CQ value is 89.77

First please do not reply by telling me that-----

>There are a lot of threads on this problem. Do you read the forum sometimes ?

Q: CQMatic calls flasingly TMPGEnc in a loop flashes on the screen, it says Final CQ value is 89.77 in less than one min.

I have followed this "Final CQ value is 89.77 " problem for a long time and have done all the suggestions including:

1) Shorten the path extremely to e.g. L:\
2) check "start frame sets to 0, and end frame to -1" by NOT selecting the SOURCE RANGE
3) Even not use any filters.

But all failed to get the CQMatic prediction work for me. I just wonder if KWAG can do something in CQMatic to avoid this OLD problem?

hi,
try this
rebuild the <whatever>.tpr file again with tmpgenc
and set the path of tmpgenc in cqmatic again

it worked for me

This is wrong. You and to check "start frame sets to 0, and end frame to -1" AND uncheck the sourge range setting.

If you're just doing "NOT selecting the source range" that is not enought !

You must RESET the source range to 0, -1 (and also reset the cut editing) in a first time, then uncheck the source range cheking. That's to operation that must be done !

Note: did you try to start from a brand new project in tmpgenc ? It should solve all your problems

Thanks a lot, Guys.

That was where my problem came from. I shoud have done both. Now for the first time CQMAtic works for me.

so what people should do to stop, final cq: 89.77 is

Code:

1. Go to TMPGenc and start a new project
2. Load in your video file.
3. Load KVCD Template
4. Select Source Range, and reset it to 0,-1 , and also reset cut editing,    and then go back and uncheck source range
5. Save as text project
6. Finally, load in to CQmatic.

is that right?[/code]

there is a 3bis:

3bis/ load the KVCD template you need. And adjust the parameters if some aren't correct (gop length for instance - it depend on the kind of movie you encode).

And you do not need to reset the range editing as you are starting from a new project. So all point 4 is not really necessary.
