Check "don't delete any file" in misc tab of DVD2SCVD and look in the destination directory when the work is finished. I'm sure you will find a xxx01.mpg file beside the xxx00.lpg one.

If I'm right then that's a bug of DVD2SVCD : it fails in file size prediction, produces a file too big, bbmpeg cuts it in two parts but DVD2SVCD ignore the second one because it thinks there is only one.

Hi Phil, thx for replying.

I always uncheck "dont delete any files", but i deleted the files manually already.

I cant quite understand how it fits a full 120 minute movie, but fails to fit a 58 minute movie? confusion!

So there is nothing i can do then?

If you read a little the threads on file size prediction problem, you will see that it is not a matter a length of the source !

For a 58 min movie or a 120 min one, the goal is the same : find the CQ that let us put the movie in exactly 800 MB.

The problems is that there is no 100% accurate method to find the correct CQ. All are based on "tests and guesses". And sometimes you think you have the good CQ, but when you encode all the movie, your video is far from 800 MB long.

I never notice you used that plugin. I never do ! It never worked for me.

As I told you the problem is there :
Quote:
MPV filesize: 781.670391082764 Mb
Wanted MPV filesize: 703.212890625 Mb
That is not DVD2SVCD that has the bug but the plugin : it does not take in account there is TWO files generated by bbmpeg because the actual video file is larger than expected one.

Worst CQ is out of function.
Video bitrate is wrong in DVD2KVCD 2.0.8. Try DVD2KVCD 2.0.10!
