finding it difficult to get a good encode even at 352x240?

Unfortunately the Full Screen version. But it is only 107 minutes
and I am finding it difficult to get a good encode even at
352x240 (CQ at 30, BR at 1150). Looks very blocky in places,
particularly at the end with all that big confetti flying around the
air. Also the motorbike fight scenes are crummy...

Hi monkeyboy,

Are you using the MA script, or are you encoding directly from the .d2v :?:

Directly from a .d2v created by DVD2AVI.

This particular movie seems especially difficult. I guess the combo of
fullscreen and a lot of action/motion and very little dark scenes.

First try at 480x480 BR 1750 CQ 60 128kb audio yielded an MPG of 1200Mb.

Any movie is hard to encode decently without a script !
