The beginning of this movie has some fast action scenes and there was some blockiness. Can anything be done to tweak Tmpgenc to reduce this effect. Otherwise the movie was very close to DVD quality.
The next challenge will be to backup a movie which three hours (i.e. The Green Mile) and have it fit on two cd's.

hi black prince:
If your DVD player supports higher bit rates that 2,300Kbps, the current MAX set on the KVCD templates, go ahead and increase it. You might have to do some test clips to find how high it can go. That's the only thing you would need to modify in the template to optimize very high speed scenes. But many DVD players don't go over 2,500Kbps and that's why I set the MAX to 2,300Kbps. But be aware that you'll cut down on the amount of video that you can put on the CD. Usually this "blocks" are barely visible on high speed scenes, unless you do a "pause" on high action scene. But on regular playback, they shouldn't be an issue.
