Do you recommend useing temperal smooth (2,2) for dvd's? I have read some say yes and other say no. Thanks for all your help and great work on your templetes.
If you're going to use TemporalSmoother, use it with (1,2), if you have a low quality DVD.
If you're encoding analog sources, then you can use (2,2). It really depends on how dirty the source is.

@acidfire:

I just did "Kate & Leopold" again with the 352x240 PLUS template, because the one I did before looked like crap! That quality of the DVD is very bad, in many parts of the film. Specially when the movie starts, on the "gears" scene. So I re-encoded it with TemporalSmoother(1,2) and now it looks great!. Also the complete movie with audio at 160Kbps is 781MB
So there you have a good example where to use temporal smoother filter.

Kwag,
Thanks for the reply, and example. I will keep that in mind when I encode some more movies. I did do another movie since my last post and it came out real good. I think I will try a movie with temperal smooth at (1,2) and see what I get. Like I said your templetes are great. I think maybe I messed up on a couple of movies when I started to use your templete. But great job on the templete and keep up the great work.
