1. i downloaded the template using the "save as" but it was saved as .txt instead of .mcf, i renamed this though and it was accempted by TMPEG, is this right?

2. I have a project in Premiere 6 and using an avisynth frameserver to TMPEG i tried compressing my files to MPEG1 using the the KVCD templates. My problems are i keep getting an error message "Out of memory" i have two drives 4.5 and 60 gigs. I change the environmental settings and file output to my 60gigs but i still getting the same error. I checked the settings of the KVCD template and i notice that the Number of P in GOP is 5823 is this right? Also i notice the fps is 23.97, to create VCD shouldnt it be 29.97 fps?

Thanks

1) Correct!

2) The fps is correct at 23.976, unless you have to create a 29.97, because your source is not FILM and then you will fit less data on the VCD and less at quality.
The 5823 is correct, ( KVCD signatured, if you look at your telephone pad ) http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=643
