This version is a bit weird....
It is better, but there are bugs...
Expecially with tooLAME and batch encoding.
There are improvements for NTSC and mpeg 2 in generall, still a long way to go with PAL and colorfull source
Better wait next version, 2.58 or whatever. It might be a overall bug fix version, if I understand correctly the way Horri Son works

What is the problem with toolame and tmpgenc 2.57?

when you batch encode let say 25 files in the raw, toolame crash the last Kbs for some of them. TMPGenc don't stop, continues with the video part. When at the final stage muliplexx audio/video, in the "rewriting scvd header" (non visible when it is done) it crash again. TMPGenc continues with the next file. The final mpeg produced from this crash, gonna have a noice in the end when you play it or if you go standard you will have a broken mpeg. This mpeg 2 is playable most of the times, but on specific DVD standalones is unplayable even if you author it clever.
It is a small bug, but still a bug.
Plus there is some wierd problem with the colors in this version. Everytime this happens, next tmpgenc version is a PAL bug fix release
