Space needed on PC?

Hey, I'm a real newb to all this, but I think I'm getting the grip of it. I have a 700mb XVID file, and I want to convert it to kvcd, but I don't have very much room on my computer. How much space do you reckon would be needed to perform a full conversion? Thanks.

You will do the audio and the video separatly, so let say :

- 100 Mo for the audio demuxed from the xvid
- 100 Mo for the mp2 done from the demuxed audio above
- 700 Mo for the video
- 800 Mo for the final muxed mpeg.

That does near 1.7 Go.
