Convert Divx dts/ac3 to vcd?
have a few divx files with dts or ac3 audio that i would like to convert to vcd in order to watch on my standalone. is there a way i could keep the audio when converting?
thanks in advance. |
No, the VCD standard (as the SVCD) support only mp2 as audio format.
But you can try to do mini-DVD (DVD burnt on a CD support). Do a research on this forum I think you will find some post talking about mini-DVD. |
ok, so vcd wont work.
what about kdvd? can i keep the dts/ac3 sound? |
For sure. KDVD is basically a DVD with video stream encoded according to KVCD concept.
But the rest of the DVD can contain whatever you can put on a DVD, and that include ac3 audio streams. |
i tried encoding a ac3 5ch movie to half dvd but in powerdvd it still shows Number of Audio Channels: 2. how can i encode it so it would be 5 channels?
gspot also couldnt find any ac3 sound on my kdvd file. |
You must use an authoring tool that make a DVD from you mpeg2 video stream and your ac3 audio stream !
For sure, if you encode the audio and the video together with TMPGENC, you will have a 2 channel mp2 audio ! |
