Parameters incorrect....

Hi,

I'm still struggling to do my 1st encode using CQMatic, each time i enter my script into tmpge, the parameters according to the script are wrong.

Source;

DivX 3-Low Motion, 640x352 (1.82:1) [=20:11]

Script;

AviSource("D:\***.avi",false)
BlindPP(cpu=4)
Blockbuster(method="noise",detail_min=1,detail_max =3,variance=0.1,seed=1)
Convolution3D(1, 6, 12, 6, 8, 2.8, 0)
GripCrop(480, 576, overscan=1, source_anamorphic=false)
GripSize(resizer="LanczosResize")
Undot()
TemporalSoften(2,7,7,3,2)
DCTFilter(1,1,1,1,1,1,0.5,0)
GripBorders()

When i enter the avs into tmpge i get these parameters;

MPEG2, 508x64, CQ89.77.

I tried changing the parameters manually and save as tmpge text project, then i enter into CQmatic using x3 Prediction, hit encode it starts prediction, each one taking about 1 second (240 frames) and encodes a blank screen.

HELP! :banghead:

Sorry I do not use CQmatic anymore (but still its a fantastic work of Kwag ;-) ) but as I remember CQmatic "1second predictions" could result of too complex or too long path names, still audio source in tmpgEnc filled out (even you got "false" in your import line although this shouldn't give tmpgenc the audio hint) and if not set Video stream only (first check button).

Hi incredible, happy new year dude!

I thought about the path names being too complex for the operation, so i did move to just D:\***.avi if u can see above. I'm purely encoding as Elementary Stream in tmpge, no audio.

I'm just doing trial and error with the scripts at the moment, trying to guess wot the problem is. I even uninstalled Avisynth and installed from fresh with up-to-date filters, still no difference.

I'm wondering if there is a bug in the CQMatic program, or maybe it doesnt like divx/xvid files?

I cant work it out. :roll:

CQmatic works fine also when using Divx/Xvid, so I think it ends up to you ;-)

I meant the path in the tmpgEnc Source Inputs / dest outputs and the Path where the .tpr is safed, so i didn't mean the path in your Avisynth script!

Happy new year too!

Did you think to RESET the cut editing (or better : start from a new and virgin project every time) ?

If you are getting a CQ of 89.77 immediately after entering your avs file, then you most certainly are not starting from a new project as Dialhot suggested.

This is a must for each and every project you do :roll:

Basic steps:
Code:

Open TMPGEnc
Press CTRL-N then OK
Load your template
Load unlock template (to enable setting changing)
Load your source (ie. your .avs file)
Tweak any settings you require
Save as text project (using short filenames and pathnames)
Run CQMatic

The resolution displayed, (508x64 in your case), should be picked up from the GripCrop function, when you enter the avs file.

Can you open your avs file in Media Player/VirtualDub :?: Do you see any errors :?:

Eagle eyes ! I didn't notice that.

The problem he would find in WMP is "blindPP works in YV12 color space only"

And the reason is "DivX 3-Low Motion, 640x352 (1.82:1) [=20:11] ".

Another codec problem so...

So its out of my hands then?

Since when a codec problem is out of user hands ? All you need is to update your codecs.

But we still don't know what is the exact error you have in wmp (or if you load the avs in virtualdub) because you didn't tell us yet :wink:

Note: what I'm sure is that again this thread is tied to avi->kvcd. Not CQMatic. I'll probably move the thread once you had answered to the previous point.

the avs plays fine in Zoom player & VD.

Dialhot 01-08-2004 12:57 PM

And when you load it in tmpgenc, you have the resolution that change without any notice ? That's right ?

Add a "ConvertToRGB24()" at the end of the script.
