matrix reloaded should i use 352x576 or 480x576 res i want a 1 cd output i have got my 352x576 CQ value which will be around 69 not sure what 480x576 will produce in terms of CQ i don't want lower than 60 my min and max bitrate are 300 and 2500.

cheers for advice!

You forgot to give the second choice you have but 352*576 should be correct for that movie.

hi dialhot

my second choice would be 480x576 but i am unsure just yet what sort of CQ value i will get from this i don't want lower than 60 480x576 would give a clearer picture than 352x576 wouldn't it? but i will probably have to go lower CQ with 480x576.
would you use 352x576 or 480x576 doing mpeg 1 with min 300 and max 2500 bitrate?

cheers.

I always use MPEG1, 64min-2300 max and adapt the resolution according to the length of the movie. For 2 hours, 352*576 is the better choice. With 480*576 you will have a too low CQ and the result will be worst.
