VCDs are burned in MODE-2, you should be able to burn 800MB in a 700MB CD

iv tried but it says there isnt enough space on the disk, the file is 825mb and is 109 minutes long, is there anything i can do to make the file slightly smaller, the template im using is KVCD X 3 528x 576mpeg 1, iv had this problem with nearly all the films iv encoded where the file size is always just over

That is the problem so.
The CQ has to be computed for each movie in order to match the correct final file size.
Go in CQMatic section of the forum if you want to learn about a tool that can do that for you.
