Tmpgenc encoder has avi error?

I open the kvcd template in tmpeg and load my avi file, but then it gives me an error it says: can not open, or is unsupported. But it is an AVI file which has been compressed with divx 3 or somthing.. and when I put it in virtual dub it says somthing is wrong with the audio it says:

Im not using virtual dub, but just wanted to see if it would load in there, and it did but it has a vbr error could this be why its not working in tmpeg

I always get that...Just click on ok and ignore it...Works for me!! :)

Do you mean in virtual dub or in tmpeg? Because I want to get it into tmpeg encoder but its giving me an error. And if I hit okay it doesnt even load it.

Have you installed readavs.dll, http://membres.lycos.fr/olambla/stud...nc-readavs.zip

Load the Avi File via an AviSynth Script, and put

AviSource(C:\yourfile.avi, false)

so that the audio is not loaded. If that won't work, make sure you have the proper codecs installed on your system!

You don't know how you first compressed it to DivX or you don't own your movies :?:
Let's start with a much easier way. Why don't you rip one of your DVD movies and try to KVCD it :?:
That will give you some knowledge of all involved in the process of KVCDing  and then you could learn how to adapt your methods to convert some of your AVI/DivX/XviD...
C ya.
