which template do I use?
 
which is the best template to use to encode 79 mins 46 secs onto 1 80 min cd?

Depends on the source m8. If it's 16:9 (Widescreen) then any of them should do it, as it's only 1hr 19 mins long. You may even be able to boost the cq to improve the quality. The only real answer is to experiment with the templates, and see which gives the best quality result. Just do 60-120 sec test encodes and compare the results. Then whichever one gives you the best quality/file size is the one to go for.
If it's a 4:3 (fullscreen) source then you might want to try one of Kwags 352/240 or 288 templates. The reduced frame size should help you get it on to the single cd.
