KVCD Matrix for 3-pass encoding (DVD2DVD) works!

Hi there!
Now that I've got quite a bit of spare time, I'm doing some DVDs again.. altough I don't use the one-pass method, I do use the KVCD Matrix for 3-pass encoding (DVD2DVD) - quality is just great! Especially the fact that I can limit the bitrate to 6000 kbps without any blocknoise is very helpful 8)

Hi new_bee,

Good to see you back. Tell me, any special reason for not using one pass? I've found that high bitrate is very good for keeping details in faces and surfaces, for instance. Good luck!

Hi vmesquita,
pleased to see you :D
I've switched to producing perfect duplicates of the source DVD (but still remove ads and PUPs), so I either use Shrink or DVD2DVD. I'm just too lazy to decrypt and demux the DVDs by myself
Anyway, DVD2DVD gives me the possibility to hit "GO", let the whole thing run overnight, and in the morning just author it with Scenarist, copy in the menu files and make some adjustments with IFOedit.

Why not try the big3 method on doom9? It's what I use when I want a perfect duplicate of the DVD and I have to reduce more than 85%... Great results, keeping all the menus audio and removing the suff you don't want! :D
