DVD2AVI: Interlaced for 23.976fps ?

OK i have been looking at a few questions that people wrote about this subject, but none of them seemed to make sense to me.
I have a source that when i preview in DVD2AVI, i get this
http://www.digitalfaq.com/archives/error.gif
What should i do about the interlaced?
#EDIT#
for get the 23.976 FPS. that was a mistake. When i took the screen shot i had force film selected.

Do i need to put FieldDeinterlace () in my script?
and is there anything else i need to do in TMPGEnc to make this movie work correctly?

thanks a lot

Whats that type of DVD contend a Movie, I mean a hollywood movie?

- than it could be telecined and encoded as 29.97 (bad mastered DVD)
- Or (that will be the one) its really encoded at 23.976 using a Pulldown flag and that you can see if in motion part are NO combing artefacts.

So look out for combing artefacts in motion areas and tell us.

the dvd is is a Hollywood action movie? what are the best settings for deinterlacing it??

Smoothdeinterlace(doublerate=true, TFF=true, Blen=true)?

and what does it mean, when i play my avs files in wmp, and it's really really choppy. It always happens to me. I can encode fine, but wmp plays the avs, really crappy. anyway to fix this
