prediction value not close

I'm not sure if this is normal but usually when my resulting mpeg is produced and mutiplexed with my audio it is usually in my view not close to the capacity of the cd. For example i converted finding nemo and it produced a size of 730 mb and 750mb for disc 2 (80mins = 795mb).
Is this usually close enough?

And any difference between predicting cartoons and movies?

One last thing, i converted x-men2 a while ago but the prediction gave me a value to high and i had to reconvert the movie with a lower cq value. Why is this?

Thanks alot.

Because CQ is unpredictable !

As Kwag said, the only way to find THE exact CQ is to use all the movie as sample and not 2 or 6 minutes like CQMAtic do.

WIhtout that, all you can have is a value a close as possible to the optimal CQ but the result is still unpredictable.
