I don't know what to do, i've tried many other things, and well to be honest im not very good at this. I can't play .mp2 files on my computer for some weird reason, they just wont play so if I have to convert an avi -> kvcd I strip the wav file from the avi in Virtual Dub then put the avi and wav file in TMPGEnc and convert them together (System Video + Audio). Well with this one file i'm trying to convert, the output has the video and audio out of sync. When I open it in Virtual Dub it says:

Quote:
VirtualDub has detected and improper VBR audio encoding in the source avi file and will rewrite the audio header with standard..etc. etc.
Many times, many of the avi's I put in there give me the same prompts, but with this one, I can't seem to sync the audio and video in TMPGEnc. I tried another one, and it was ok...but this one is just...difficult.

Any suggestions, help, etc would be appreciated.

(Hope this is in the right forum.)

Not the correct forum.

Your problem is probably in the actual framerate of youy crappy avi. Check its real value with gspot. It will surely differ from the standards (23.976, 25 and 29.970).

My bad, I really didn't know where to post it, maybe a mod could move it into the right place.

G-Spot told me the framerate was 23.976.

The audio bitrate is 127 kb/s (63/ch, stereo) VBR, FS 48000 Hz.

Is there anything I can do to correct this so the audio and video will sync up when converting in tmpgenc?

The avi is in synch, but when I rip the audio and use it in TMPGEnc to convert it together, the output isn't synched.

What is the length (in minute) of the video stream, and the one of the audio stream ?
The delay is constant or does it increase during the movie ?

Can you copy/paste the whole information that Gspot gives in the I/L panel (top-lleft one).

Thanks.

Send a message via ICQ to incredible
What kind of audiocodec is that? mp3 VBR?

Did you try to handle that demuxed audio VBR in besweet and converting it to mp2?
