How to determine if a MPG is regular or KVCD?
Is there any quick way to determine if a MPG file is a regular MPG or has been converted to KVCD. Looking at the bitrate may be helpful as long as the MPG is a standard one ie 1150bitrate but what if it isn't a standard?

Open it in bitrate viewer adn watch the GOP length (and structure).
The original GOP of MPG is 5 frames long (if I remember well) ware KVCD use 24 or 25. |
Open the mpg in "restream" by shh.
go to the little floppy-disk symbol in the matrix section and mouse-over it. You will see all the matrix values the mpeg file is encoded with, compare it to our Notch matrix ... and you'll see! ;-) |
Now we can start checking commercial DVDs, for unauthorized usage of our matrix  ;)
I'll surely send a bunch of stuff from here http://www.kvcd.net/donations.html to anyone who finds out (Seriously!) -kwag |
Case those that do not have restream
