Try with VDubMod.

Bombero0437 02-04-2004 12:23 PM

where can I get vdub mod?

Dialhot 02-04-2004 12:26 PM

http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software.htm
Note : don't try to extract it as wav. ac3 file must be demuxed in direct copy mode and processed by headache as for DVD.

i spoke too soon.....headache says there is a syncword error file is probably corrupt? but it plays fine in the movie and the ac3 file that vdubmod demuxed plays fine also...any more help with this one?

Try using AC3Fix (available in Doom9 software page) to fix AC3 errors.

i found AC3fix and the GUI to go with it...when i add the ac3 file and select an output then tell it to process, it does not do anything, it just sits there, not hung up or anything, but nothing....what to do?

vmesquita 02-04-2004 05:43 PM

I never tried the gui... But why not use the command-line version, it's so simple:

ac3fix.exe input.ac3 output.ac3

where input.ac3 is your ac3 file and output.ac3 is the fixed file.

ok, you may laugh, but i do not know how to use a command line application, i dont know where to start

Bombero0437 02-04-2004 06:19 PM

i read in a post that there is a version of Vdub called "VDUB1.4C-AC3" that will solve my ac3 problem, but i cant find it anywhere, does anyone have this or alink to download it please....

That won't solve your problem at all !
This will create a shity two channels wav badly donmiwed from the original ac3. Let headache do this job !

Moreover you have a problem of corrupted ac3 stream and nothing can help you but ac3fix. Or use besweetGUI.

For a command line tool, the simpliest is :

- copy ac3fix and your ac3 file into "C:\KVCD"
- go to start menu, run.
- type "c:\kvcd\ac3fix c:\kvcd\input.ac3 c:\kvcd\output.ac3"

Where input.ac3 is the name of your source ac3, and output.ac3 is the name of the destination you want.
