http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software.htm
Note : don't try to extract it as wav. ac3 file must be demuxed in direct copy mode and processed by headache as for DVD.

Try using AC3Fix (available in Doom9 software page) to fix AC3 errors.

i found AC3fix and the GUI to go with it...when i add the ac3 file and select an output then tell it to process, it does not do anything, it just sits there, not hung up or anything, but nothing....what to do?

I never tried the gui... But why not use the command-line version, it's so simple:

ac3fix.exe input.ac3 output.ac3

where input.ac3 is your ac3 file and output.ac3 is the fixed file.

That won't solve your problem at all !
This will create a shity two channels wav badly donmiwed from the original ac3. Let headache do this job !

Moreover you have a problem of corrupted ac3 stream and nothing can help you but ac3fix. Or use besweetGUI.

For a command line tool, the simpliest is :

- copy ac3fix and your ac3 file into "C:\KVCD"
- go to start menu, run.
- type "c:\kvcd\ac3fix c:\kvcd\input.ac3 c:\kvcd\output.ac3"

Where input.ac3 is the name of your source ac3, and output.ac3 is the name of the destination you want.
