I sweared I wouldn't post here anymore because of the subject but with so many important

@Jorel

And ahora, we'll talk un poquito of spanglish para complicate more the asunto. And that way podemos crear a caos in this hilo
I think it's time to change the subject of this thread

Maybe it's the beer I've been drinking lately
Or maybe I could stop smoking these things...
Of course we podiemos siempre hablar a little Spanish in the mientras we're speaking Ingles here en lo foro

I'll make a quick review of his PM.
Case 1:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...threadid=72691
How many reads and posts there A lot, right And a program that is not even close to vmesquitas DIKO.
But then vmesquita posted his announcement on that forum some time ago, and there were hardly any replies.
Case 2:
jorel spots a problem with the FuPPscrip.
Hours later, the new script appears here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...p&pagenumber=9
but no mention about jorel's findings
Funny, isn't it

Ok Kwag,
Now I'm a bit lost...
Can you put it plain and simple on what you just posted?
Have we got any reasons for suspect on anybody's behaviour at doom9 or maybe already
here at kvcd.net lately
I followed bilu's thread at doom9 and couldn't stop noticing how Avalon was trying to
make friends with bilu.
I wanted to warn bilu but I thought he already had seen this thread here so he was already
waiting for it to happen anytime.
But if I already know what to think about Avalon I cannot say the same on some guys at
doom9 not to say that some are already registered here as well.
So let's go for it: any new rats around???

Users browse, users post
If they find info here and post it to their friends in another forum, they should have posted links so that others can check for themselves, not limit the truth for them. But unfortunately some want to be "The Source" or as Avalon says "THE MAN": it's kind of a "I need to be a religious leader"

Actually when I was releasing the first DIKO, I PMed doom9 about where could I post an announcement about this. He ignored my first PM. Then I asked again and got this:

I answered explaining that KDVD is not actually non-standard, but got no reply.
So I posted about the tool anyway, and almost anyone got interested. It's interesting to note doom9 never mentioned in its news page. I felt like "We don't want/need you here, don't you see?".
The treatment was so much different here at KVCD.net where DIKO now has its own forum and Kwag itself helped by making a mpeg splitting tool. And even in DVDRHELP.COM, Baldrick (or other admin, not sure now) recommended my tool to a newbie at least once, and always adds new version information very fast when I ask.
So what I have to say is: I don't know why they act like that. I am not ashame to say that I learned a lot at doom9. But it seems that they became very arrogant and self-righteous.
Anyway, we don't need them for anything, we got briliant minds here in this forum. But of course, it would be much better if they acted differently.

I agree bilu.
Though I don't find any problem on sharing knowledge everywhere.
I can't remember but I may have posted some procedure I use to overcome a problem
that I may have seen written in another forum.
Shame on me if I didn't warn you where I learnt of it.
But then I may have done it not on purpose.
Not that this way I should be excused but sometimes we just forget to mention something.
I guess that's quite normal.
What I find very unusual is having some guys surfing every forum they can gathering info
from everybody so that they can build a nice homepage saying how they are THE MAN,
how they came up with nice matrices or nice GUIs for some free tools and how their
revolutionary method is going to change the world.
Just can't find any reason for this kind of behaviour.
I just think that sharing is what it's all about, here and everywhere.
It just doesn't matter who found it first...

So that's why doom9 never answered my PM's
It's funny, that we have always announced some of their developments here, but they have NEVER announced any of our developments there
Arrogancy, or afraid
Maybe they are afraid that they are slowly growing, but we are outgrowing them at a rocket speed
I think I posted the statistics once, where the "on line" ratio of users to the "user base", is far greater here than at the "other site(s)"
Even though there are ~3,400 users registered here, there is an average of 25 to 30 users on line. They have an average of close to 200 users on line, but their user base is over 50,000 Quote:

That's because at doom9, they want to be "The God" of video web sites. I think everyone here are more open minded, and that's what makes this site more friendly Quote:

I agree
There are many bright people here, and more come every day. As a matter of fact, there are many users from doom9 that go back and forth between doom9 and this site. The ones that "blind" themselves, and stay there, and don't want to look elsewhere, they don't know what they're missing.

And the joke is actually on themselves, just like what I think of standards: They are good, for some time. Then, they suck, and hold back on technology developments.
That's why we like to break the standards, and I love it

What *I* think is if that so called Doom9 didn't catch that KDVD ARE standard compliants he should stop doing video and try something a little less complicate for him. But not cooking, is too dangerous. Pearl collars may be ?
I know, I love pushing this very far, but I mean it.

Now I remember that at some point I wondered why is no mention of the unmatched (IMHO) notch matrix in their download section, since for me that one was mandatory for a good quality encoding at low bitrates, (before ffvfw got in the picture).

Well, if you browse there, and of course here too, then you're one of them
But see, that makes you an open minded person, because you don't lock up yourself on one site.
I myself browse many sites, but KVCD is, of course, my home page.
But you should see my bookmarks
