Hi still trying to rip a dvd(cartoon tv series) and still am having a little trouble.

First i load into dvd2avi and get 29.97,film 99%,progressive
so i save project as i do any other movie(forced film)

Now i am using the kvcd 352x240 template but here are the questions

When i use the MA script the blur between scene changes is really noticeable and when i use Dialhots V4 script without Blindpp the scene change is gone but when i watch it on the dvd player i get a lot of messed up parts(i don't know what to called these but the video gets pixalated)

On these 2 dvd players they usually play all resolutions without problems
(one other thing i forgot to change the max bitrrate to 1800(352x240) and left it at 2000,would that be a reason for the pixalation)

Now with the MA script if i uncheck detect scene change will that problem go away or is it more to do with the script

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated (BTW the picture with both scripts is excellent)

I am in the process of testing different situations but just thought i would ask to see if anyone can help me along

Thanx

1800 is to low for every resolution above VCD. So don't bother if you forgot to change it and let 2000 (unless you are using 352*240 as resolution).

For cartoons you should reduce the length of the GOP to 15 insteed of 24 picture. It should reduce the pixels.

Detect scene change won't change anything.

It depends : if the scene where the pixelisation occurs are logical (normal pixelesation don't appear randomly ! it appears only when the bitrate is too short, that menas when the action is too hight !) then no.

If the pixel appears in palce with no reason, and moreover if there are "blue" and "green" where the picture is red and yellow, then that is due to bad burning and the CD-RW can be the reason.
