I've been experimenting a few days with the DVD "Underworld" (Cool movie BTW!) and I've found that the best way to get as few artefacts (gibbs) as possible is to make a "clean" encode. That is, with out any filters
! The only thing I added to the resizing script was BlindPP(CPU=6) and that gave me the best quality I could possibly get (to my knowledge). Wierd, eh? The script I used is this:
Quote:
Mpeg2Source("D:\DVD Rip\Underworld\Underworld.d2v")
BlindPP(CPU=6)
LanczosResize(448, 272, 20, 54, 680, 367)
AddBorders(16, 104, 16, 104)

Simple as can be... Of course, one major downer to using a script like this I that the compression doesn't get quite as good as you would wish
.
Just wanted to inform you guys. Maybe someone else has experienced the same thing?
