I finally got TMPGenc to read avs files from FitCD. I think the problem came down to an old version of DirectX on my system. I saw other posts mentioning upgrading to version 8.1, so that's what I did. It works now. :P Previously, I had DirectX v4.0.

Thanks to all,

Andy

Hi Kwag

After looking at this post I thought my problems were solved. I downloaded readavs.dll and installed it into tmpenc. I now have a problem at line one of the the avs script at line one - "I don't know what 'loadplugin' means on line 1". The script for that line is "LoadPlugin("C:\WINNT\system32\MPEG2DEC.dll")" and I have a mpeg2dec.dll at that point and avisynth 2.05 or 4 installed. Any ideas??? I've just about given up on fitcd and avisynth and am using the crop and resize in tmpenc. It seems to work but it would be better if I was consistant with everyone else - makes for easier comparisons.

TIA

Clive

to make tmpeg open *.avs scripts
1.-when making the script save as *.avs (ALL FILES)
2.-in TMPEG disable the DirectShow
3.-try to install the read_avs for tmpeg and vdub
4.-before install the Avisynth again REMOVE ALL avisynth.dll from your PC
