Where did the sample CD go?
 

I want to check out the quality of KVCD and also test it on my standalone player, but I am unable to find the sample CD.
Some posts indicate that it should be found in the left pane of the main site. I can't find anything there. I've also seen some link to kvcd.net/downloads/kvcd-compat-v2.nrg or something like that, but that just gives a 404. Can someone provide a working link to the sample CD?

It is not necesary.
When you first connect, Kast must find IP addresses of "Neighbors" to connect. Once it's connected, if you click on "catcher", you should see a list of available channels, and a KVCD channel should appear.
If not, just wait a minute or two, and click "catcher" again.
You should then see KVCD somewhere in there.

Please, give me the key! "Catcher" does not show KVCD after waiting for hours... :cry:

You don't have any thing that appeard under the "Catcher" link ? Or there is something but not the KVCD channel ?

Unfortunatly I'm behind a firewall and can't use the Kast program. Noone who happens to have the old sample CD mirrored on the web somewhere?

There are some channels, but no kvcd channel! I want to test my new DVD-Player! Help, please! :?:

When I click "catcher" I see no channels at all...

If someone has the PAL sample CD, can you PM me?

I'm contemplating an easier solution for the file sharing stuff.

You can connect to Overnet, or you can make a "virtual drive" that only "friends" can access. Plus it has the same strong encryption that MUTE uses.
This is better than eMule, because eMule doesn't have any security at all :!:

Kdrive is supposed to be included in the next release of Overnet (the serverless version of edonkey). It is in the alpha unofficial release since 1 month.

Kdrive seems like it has potential to be pretty good but not to sure about using overnet,still beta so we will have to wait a bit
