Ice Age came out as 708,482KB

Thats with a CQ of 100 and a maximum bitrate of 2300

I used 224kbps Dual Channel Stereo

Again, excellent.

1 hr 21min but I was impressed that even with top settings of 2300 and vbr_cq of 100 it still fit with room to spare...

I guess thats probably due to it being a computer generated movie tho.

What? How can that be? 1 hr 21min with 2300? That does not sound right. KWAG any comments?

I haven't seen that movie, but it seems to me that it's a low action movie, because of the file size created. If that's the case, then it doesn't matter if the MAX bit rate was set to 10,000!, because the encoder never needed to go beyond a MAX point, which was probably below 1,500Kbps on it's high peaks.
