Hi jorel,

I have a problem, I have a MPEG2 file if the first half part is desincronized, but the second part is ok...I have tried to cut the first half part with TMPGEnc, VCDCut and MPEG Scissors, and the result have been a horror..dont cut me well...

Well, in fact I need a tool some like VDub or VDubMod to cut MPEG2, because this two tools cut exactly at the point that I'm interested, are precise... but don't cut .MPG Can someone help me?

Thanks...

a) As we all love also the usage of avisynth, I IMHO would recommend "Virtualdubmod" and its included AVS Editor. No problems when opening mpeg2 files or Ac3 etc.

b) Virtualdub can "cut" the translated mpeg2 stream but CAN't do a "direct stream copy" on mpeg2!

To cut mpeg2 data use tmpgenc or mpeg2cut which is often used in the dvb sector.

Note: the minimal unit for cutting is the GOP, not the picture. You can't cut in the middle of a GOP. And in KVCD a GOP is 1 second long.

I've recently been using MpegVideoWizard by Womble to edit my MPEG2 PVR250 captures. I was encountering sound synch problems with trim files and wave files from VirtualDub-Mpeg2. Using Womble to cut commercials and then creating DVD2AVI files for AVS and Headac3he works very well. Womble has a trial download.
