Ripping DVD to DivX or Xvid?
To date I havn't had to worry about ripping DVD's as all of my DivX's have been downloaded from the internet. I've the Kdvd template setup in TMPGenc to covert these downloads to burn to DVD.
However a mate of mine has bought the Indiana Jones boxset and I'm thinking of ripping them and burning all 3 films to 1 KDVD or 2 KDVD's (with the bonus disc as well). So I have a few questions. 1/ Firstly what do you guy's use to rip the DVD? Am I right in assuming the best process is to rip the film and audio to a DivX or Xvid (not sure which is best) and then covert in the normal way? 2/ Is there a guide availible anywhere to walk me though the steps? 3/ I'm hoping to keep the origional menu's as well. Is this possible? Thanks in advance. |
