File Information in VirtualDub showing ac3 or 5 channels?
 
How exactly does one know if the File/File Information in Virtual Dub, is showing ac3 or 5 channels? could someone paste a picture here?

I guesss you are talking about an avi source.
You should use Gspot or Avicodec to retrieve all the informations you need about such source.

Audio part of the File information tab:
Chanels 5 (stereo) - I don't know why it says stereo :screwy: and in reality it is 5+LFE
Audio tag: ...blah blah blah ... (Dolby AC3)
