Hi all, firstly i applogize if this is a repetative topic. I just can't seem to get my head around kvcd! I make great vcd's using tmpgenc etc, and have done for quite a while, i don't find many avi's that r impossible to correct/doctor to convert to a decent vcd. But kvcd? ok , I can produce one, with correct aspect ratio and great audio, but each and every attempt results in an mpeg that is as big if not bigger than a "normal" mpeg1 vcd( can't get smaller than 10 megs per minute)! what am i missing? I bet it's realy cool for u guys that can actually watch a home made vcd without having to walk over to the dvd player and change to cd number 2! Hope I haven't bored u all witless with a posting of "same old same old" ( ps, list of proggies i use > gspot,divfix,vdub,headAC3he,and tmpgenc, plus mainconcept if i want the easy way out with a dodgy/difficult conversion)
thnx!

Welcome cheersm8,
From what I understand you need to visit this thread.
There you will find a GREAT tool made up by Kwag that, based on some figures you'll have
to provide, will calculate the amount of compression the video part needs.
It will also start encoding when the correct value is reached if you want.
Be patient with the tool because at 1st it might seem a little difficult to understand how it works.
Be a sports and read Kwag's usage instructions on the sticky.
If you need help with it post there, ok?
Cheers
