Yes it is. But it's a little tricky :

- process the vobs in DVD2AVI and ask it to DEMUX ALL AUDIO TRACKS while it does the d2v

- encode the video part as usual (with the method you want)

- open the first vob of the movie in Vobedit. Ask it to DEMUX ALL SUBTITLES STREAM

- open Ifoedit, go in "Authoring new DVD" menu. Select the video stream, select the 2 audio stream (don't forget to set the language for each one or they will be both referenced as "english" later on the DVD), select the subtitle stream (same thing for language) * and compile de DVD

* be carefull : the audio delay feature in Ifoedit makes the program to crash. So the delay must be corrected before to use the stream in ifoedit

- use DVDshrink to shrink the DVD you just did at 100% (no compression) but in uncheck "split the vob file to 1GB" in the option. This way you will have a single vob with all your movie in it.

- use DVDlab as authoring tool. Select the vob, tell to dvdlab to NOT demux the vob.

- after compiling the DVD open the IFO with the DVDlab tool 'Audio Ifo edit". Set the correct parameters for the 2 audio stream (language and number of channel), save.

- open the IFO of the movie you just did in IFOEdit. Open also the IFO of the original DVD. Go to "VTS_PGC" section in original IFO, select PGC one and choose "copy color from this PGC" in the "subtitle color" menu. GO to the IFO you generated, select PGC one and "paste color into this PGC". Save the IFO *

* this way the subtitle will have the correct color. This is the only way to obtain that in every cases.

check if the subtitles are present during all the movie. If they disapear after the middle of the length, than you have to use a tricky hint for subtitles. I will tell you about that later. FOr the moment, try this little guide

Okay, this is the method to have the subtitles working correctly.

First, the reason why the subtitles disapear in the middle of the movie id because the VOB ID change in mosst case at the layer break (that is near the middle of the movie, on a 2 layer disc of course).
The problem is that when we encode a video stream, there is no VOB ID associated to this, and so, the subtitler don't know what to do whit the subtitles taht are AFTER the change of VOB ID number.

Let's go for the trick :

1/ with "vobsub configure", generate the idx/sub files associated to the subtitles you want (open the IFO related to the movie, select only the subtitle you want -and only this one - and generate the idx).

2/ open the idx (it's a text file). It has this format :

Code:
# VobSub index file, v7 (do not modify this line!)
#
# To repair desyncronization, you can insert gaps this way:
# (it usually happens after vob id changes)
This is the header, I do not copy it all

Code:
# Vob/Cell ID: 1, 1 (PTS: 0)
timestamp: 00:00:53:060, filepos: 000000000
timestamp: 00:00:57:980, filepos: 000000800
timestamp: 00:01:00:020, filepos: 000001800
timestamp: 00:01:03:820, filepos: 000002800
Here the subtitles start. Note that the Vob ID is 1 and the cell is 1 also.
Code:
timestamp: 00:03:27:300, filepos: 000023000
timestamp: 00:03:29:740, filepos: 000024000
# Vob/Cell ID: 1, 2 (PTS: 190840)
timestamp: 00:03:41:580, filepos: 000025000
timestamp: 00:03:45:260, filepos: 000026800
Here we reach a new cell (a new chapter) but still in the same VOB ID.

Now let see where is the layer break :
Code:
timestamp: 00:53:56:580, filepos: 000198000
# Vob/Cell ID: 1, 13 (PTS: 3226080)
timestamp: 00:54:25:900, filepos: 000198800
timestamp: 00:55:37:180, filepos: 000199800
timestamp: 00:55:39:500, filepos: 00019a800
timestamp: 00:56:42:940, filepos: 00019b000
timestamp: 00:56:48:100, filepos: 00019c000
timestamp: 00:56:58:860, filepos: 00019c800
timestamp: 00:57:01:460, filepos: 00019d800
timestamp: 00:57:36:580, filepos: 00019e800
timestamp: 00:58:10:500, filepos: 00019f800
timestamp: 00:58:12:380, filepos: 0001a0800
timestamp: 00:58:18:860, filepos: 0001a1800
timestamp: 00:58:22:100, filepos: 0001a2000
timestamp: 00:58:28:980, filepos: 0001a2800
timestamp: 00:58:30:380, filepos: 0001a3000
timestamp: 01:00:43:180, filepos: 0001a4000
timestamp: 01:00:44:420, filepos: 0001a4800
timestamp: 01:00:47:780, filepos: 0001a5000
timestamp: 01:01:02:260, filepos: 0001a6000
timestamp: 01:01:03:860, filepos: 0001a6800
timestamp: 01:01:08:700, filepos: 0001a7800
timestamp: 01:01:13:500, filepos: 0001a8000
timestamp: 01:01:15:180, filepos: 0001a8800
timestamp: 01:01:20:580, filepos: 0001a9800
timestamp: 01:01:23:620, filepos: 0001aa000
timestamp: 01:01:57:900, filepos: 0001ab000
timestamp: 01:02:02:340, filepos: 0001ac000
timestamp: 01:02:06:660, filepos: 0001ac800
# Vob/Cell ID: 2, 1 (PTS: 3719040)
timestamp: 01:02:08:160, filepos: 0001ad800
timestamp: 01:02:12:920, filepos: 0001ae000
Here ! You can see the VOB ID changes !

All we have to do to have the subtitles that work is to change all the numbers in order to have the same VOB ID in all the file, and only the number of the cell that change :
Code:
timestamp: 00:53:56:580, filepos: 000198000
# Vob/Cell ID: 1, 13 (PTS: 3226080)
timestamp: 00:54:25:900, filepos: 000198800
timestamp: 00:55:37:180, filepos: 000199800
timestamp: 00:55:39:500, filepos: 00019a800
timestamp: 00:56:42:940, filepos: 00019b000
timestamp: 00:56:48:100, filepos: 00019c000
timestamp: 00:56:58:860, filepos: 00019c800
timestamp: 00:57:01:460, filepos: 00019d800
timestamp: 00:57:36:580, filepos: 00019e800
timestamp: 00:58:10:500, filepos: 00019f800
timestamp: 00:58:12:380, filepos: 0001a0800
timestamp: 00:58:18:860, filepos: 0001a1800
timestamp: 00:58:22:100, filepos: 0001a2000
timestamp: 00:58:28:980, filepos: 0001a2800
timestamp: 00:58:30:380, filepos: 0001a3000
timestamp: 01:00:43:180, filepos: 0001a4000
timestamp: 01:00:44:420, filepos: 0001a4800
timestamp: 01:00:47:780, filepos: 0001a5000
timestamp: 01:01:02:260, filepos: 0001a6000
timestamp: 01:01:03:860, filepos: 0001a6800
timestamp: 01:01:08:700, filepos: 0001a7800
timestamp: 01:01:13:500, filepos: 0001a8000

timestamp: 01:02:02:340, filepos: 0001ac000
timestamp: 01:02:06:660, filepos: 0001ac800
# Vob/Cell ID: 1, 14 (PTS: 3719040)
timestamp: 01:02:08:160, filepos: 0001ad800
timestamp: 01:02:12:920, filepos: 0001ae000
And so on... you have to change all the lines with a VOB ID / cell number until the end of the file !

3/ you musst change the sub file into a sup one if you need to do the vob with ifoedit. For taht you can find a tool called "sub2sup" on the net.

That's all : the sup file can be processed with ifo edit to add subtitles to a m2v stream like descibe in top of this thread.

I would want to put on dvd, 2 film with 1 stream audio and 1 subtitles everyone. (For space reasons I do not succeed to put 2 stream audio).

Quote:
open the first vob of the movie in Vobedit. Ask it to DEMUX ALL SUBTITLES STREAM

I have extracted the subtitles:
with the 1st movie I have:
vts_01_1.20.sup
vts_01_1.21.sup
vts_01_1.22.sup

with the 2nd :
vts_01_1.21.sup
vts_01_1.22.sup equal filesize.

vts_01_1.23.sup
vts_01_1.24.sup equal filesize.

my questions is:
1. with the first film which file (.sup) I must select in ifoedit?
in any case, when I compile the dvd in ifoedit I obtain the following message: "too many frame drops" and after the program exit.

With the 2nd film i selected vts_01_1.23.sup

2. how I make to put two films on an only one dvd?
(I must proceed until dvdshrink with all 2 movies and then import the vobs in dvdlab?)

For that you have to run the DVD on your standalone if it tell you the number of the audio stream you are looking at. Stream 20 is indicated as "1" on the standalone, streams 21 as "2" and so on.
You can do taht also on your PC with winDVD for instance that show you all subtitles in a menu ordered according the the sup num. So you know that is you need the first subtitle in the menu, that is the file xxx_20.sup

How did you encode the mpv ? And the audio ?
I never had that.

Quite that, but not exactly.
You have to use DVDshrink on each movie separately. The goal is only to obtain a single vob file per movie (and not several files of 1GB each).
For taht, go in the preference of DVDshrink and UNCHECK the box "split the vob in 1GB files". The open the first movie, pocess it in "no compression" (or 100%) mode. Do the same for the second movie.
Then you will import the 2 big vob files (near 2Gb each) into DVDlab.
And for sure, when DVDlab asks what it has to do with the vobs, tell it to NOT DEMUX (use them "as it").

I never had that.
mpv with cce 2.66 (kwag script)
audio with ac3machine (ac3 320kbps).

I have the problem with that encoded using the kwag's script .
The other that I have encoded with your script does not give error in ifoedit.

now I have a problem with the subtitles . I do not succeed to copy the corrected colors, although I have followed the procedure that you have described.

ok, this is clear.
therefore then I add the menu, and the chapters. ok. I have understood.

Okay, I never use the MA script so that explains why I never had the error. But what is still unexplained is what you have this just because of the script. I have no idea.

I don't understand where you failed but BTW, do not do that NOW ! Each process step change the colors so you will have to do it again and again.
Wait to have finished all, DVDlab authoring included and then you will process the subtitle colors. This is the last step just before to burn !

recently I have made several tests, probably the hard disk has fragmented much. After the deframmentation I have compiled the dvd with ifoedit, and all it has gone well.
for which it was not a script problem.
Kwag's scrip has exceeded the test.

Now I am compiling the plan with dvd-lab, the only thing that I am not successful to insert are the chapters of the first film, because using the option "import chapters" frezee the program.
therefore I have inserted of the chapters normal.

what still I do not succeed to understand is:
having two movie I will have also two files .ifo in order to change the color of the subtitles?
when I will have ended the compilation I will see which it will be the final result.
by

ok, there is one file .ifo but two pgc!
pgc1 for the first film and pgc2 for the 2nd film.
I am becoming expert
the only thing that still does not work is that when I copy the subtitle color
the value hex becoming all zero.
for which at the end I have digit all the value manually.
Now all subtitle color is ok.
Now just burn it!
