Don't exactly know where to post that, since above all I want to say thank you to all who developped the KVCD know-how (templates, matrix, filters, tools, guides...) and maintain this forum to a high degree of (pick whatever you like) usefulness, accuracy, kindness, internationality...

After a few weeks reading this forum, and searching through answers to questions I never thought I could ask, I have been able to convert some DVDs to KVCD and fit them to 80min or 90min CDs with a quality I couldn't imagine before trying.

By the way, I use a tool that apparently is not considered as the best, but I learned my video conversion with it so I may not change easily : DVD2SVCD .
Thanks again

Well, I did and furthermore... I liked it

When the initial modifications are done on the required files, it's rather easy to use, subtitles extraction is fully automated and file-size prediction is not that bad (ok, it's not that good either ) .

Hya guys,
Livlander, as you said, you've been here only for weeks and you already succeeded on
making KVCD using DVD2SVCD.
I imagine at least 50% of the guys started on the VCD/SVCD scene using that tool, like me
But then I realised I wanted to know how it really works, manually, and maybe try to
tweak my encodings a bit.
That's when I found KVCD.net
Today I still find DVD2SVCD a good tool for newbies and for one click encodings.
But in the end I just love to encode manually.
So doing it all manually or with a one click encode tool doesn't matter.
The only thing that counts is KVCD quality achieved both ways
Stick with us and you won't regret it.
Cheers
