DVD2AVI project reader
very nice DVD2AVI project reader by Coffee-Guy!
some details posted : "The program is simple. Once running, open a DVD2AVI project file and it lists the frame numbers (at either 29.97 fps or 23.976 fps) where the telecine pattern "breaks". If you want the same output as PARSED2V (not just a summary of the breaks), hit the "PARSED2V" button and save the file where you want. This file lists frame numbers at 29.97 fps without any other option (just like Neuron2's program)." read and download: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...threadid=72947  |
Hi Jorel,
I've been playing with "parseD2V" to predict whether a movie should be Force Film or Video when using DVD2AVI. Neutron has a small program that gives percentages of [Pattern Break] vs no change. I want to create a program to analize the log file from parseD2V for automating DVD2AVI force film. I'm sure D2S is using this. I found DVD Decrypter has command line parms to automatically rip, eject the DVD and close. If I can figure out how to automate CQMatic and CalcMatic, I believe I'll have a very simple DVD to KVCD automated process. :D -BP |
it's amazing BP,
please, do it..... i can't wait ! i ever have doubts when use or not use forced film. your idea have the weight of gold for me. go ahead my friend! :D |
@jorel,
Check this link out: http://dark.pluridis.org/~darkangel/D2vAnalyze.zip Let me know what you think :) -BP |
BP,
the prog give me the advertence: Project 1 "the language DLL 'VB6FR.DLL' could not be found. is French dll? what i need in my system? :) please,please..... :!:  |
Jorel,
That appears to be a Visual Basic dll and I not sure where to get it. I'm using parseD2V program in a batch file which pipes the d2v results to a log file. Each frame noted has either the phrase [break pattern] or nothing. I count the lines with no [break pattern] and divide this by the total number of frames in the movie. For example, (no [break pattern] / total frames) * 100 = if 95%+ use force film, else use interlace. This method works for most movies, but this is not 100% and that's why D2S sometimes gets it wrong. Here's my batch file: Quote:
the log file it can be tested in a batch file and execute DVD2AVI command line to run with force film or without. This would take care of how to automate this. I'm using Autoit v3 to do this and it's very crude. I'd rather have a batch file do this. I'm trying to do most of the automation with batch files. The most challenging is CQMatic and CalcMatic. If I can figure them out, then the rest is easy. Even the burn can be automated with BURNOUT which uses cdrdao. Tell me what you think about this plan :) -BP |
BP and all :!:
found the VB6FR.DLL here : http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?vb6fr if someone need, just download (free) unzip to extract the file to your windows\system directory. now D2V Analyzer is working! :D testing..... |
BP,
my first test (i think that don't need more tests) and results using: Checked NTSC movie percent (%) 10.....(default) FILM percent : 99,99 VIDEO percent : 0,01 Frames : 12304 FPS : 23,976 (NTSC) Percent of Combed Motion (%) : 0,9 Percent of Patern Telecined (%) : 1,48 Percent of Patern Interlaced (%) : 0,52 Percent of Patern Progressive (%) : 98 :D cool! how copy the results to clipboard? ps: was used .d2v using forced film only for this test! |
jorel,
Great!! Instead of a clipboard, D2V_Analyzer can create a log file with these results and read by a batch program which decides to use dvd2avi with or without force film. D2S has a version of dvd2avi command line with parms to change force film on or off. I'm slowly trying to automate the manual process. If Kwag could take a look at D2V_Analyser and create this small automated program, this would be great :D I know we use CQMatic and CalcMatic to predict file size and encode video via Tmpgenc, but I was just wondering about Tmpgenc file prediction ability. I used Tmpgenc's wizard for NTSCFilm with CBR and file size was accurate almost every time. Will quality suffer with CBR vs CQ????? If not, this would make file size alot more easy and accurate. Also, this would make automation a breeze  -BP |

the idea is very cool :!: :D @ Kwag: please, test D2V_Analyser too! |

SweetHead, as you recall, was born when Headac3he we discovered to have batch commandline parms. But the greatest request would be CQMatic and CalcMatic with command line parms. I'm trying to use Autoit v3 and it's a bear  My goal is to automate DVD to KVCD manual process (aka DVD2KVCD). And it seems possible, but will take time and of course I need help :) -BP |
