AviSynth and FitCD along with DVD Rips?
Hi folks!
As for now i am encoding DVD rips, that i rip myself with the KVCD PLUS 704x576 template (pal) and the quality is really great! For DivX Files i use the temporal smoother option in avisynth (what settings should i use here best??). but would i increase quality using the temporal smoother filter for my own DVD rips too? would i have to change the settings? |

For Analog captures, where you have inherent noise induced in your cables, etc, use TemporalSmoother(2,2) Higher values start to create fading and blurring effects during motion. -kwag |
Why do i only get some colord lines and no picture when i use TemporalSmoother?

I cannot for the life of me get the temporal smoother to work. I always have TMPGenc telling me that it dosen't understand the command.
I'm using the Version of AVISynth that Kwag reccomended along with TMPGenc Plus 2.57 ...... Arg ....!! :x |
SpatialSoften / TemporalSoften
You can try SpatialSoften / TemporalSoften
Read about them here: http://math.berkeley.edu/~benrg/avis...e.html#filters -kwag |

I had the same problems with Temporal Smoother, what I did was re-install EVERYTHING to one folder, including all the DLL's. Be sure to copy the DLL's to your System and System32 folders. So try to re-install the AVISynth, teh decomb dll, teh mpeg2ec dll if required. Now if you are using FitCD, on the bottom right had side you will see a small "block" be sure to click on that and "re-open" the mpeg2dec.dll, that way you are sure you have the right DLL. After I did this everything worked great, no more problems with TMPGEnc. Hopes this helps. On last thing, if you see the # just in front of Temporal Smoother line be sure to delete this. Aloha Bud |

Thanks Kwag & Bud... P.S. Bud; Sometimes mee 2 no typie so good ... Cheers |
I was wondering if it is a good idea to use some avisynth filters (temporal smoother) together with TMPGEnc filters (like simple color correction), or would that screw up a lot?
thx... |
