Problem with 240 minutes on one single cd-r?

Well let me share my most recent problem in learning to master kvcd. :)
I`m tryin`to make a kvcd filled with ''adult oriented material'' to watch with my girl. :wink:

I have several full scenes with a total running time of about 240 minutes and i would like to burn them on one single cd-r. They`re not that good quality but they aren`t that bad either. Most of them are 384x288, 29,97fps non-interlaced, low bitrate of around 800 kbps (Divx).

It`s obvious that i would have to use the ulbr template but then this weird thing happened. I used Phil latest avs script, loaded the ulbr template and ...the sample was larger than using kvcdx3-528x480, with higher bitrate and higher cq! 8O

I mean, the sample was about 6,5 mb/minute! That would give me 105 minutes of video, at the most!!
I already have put 120 minutes of good quality video in one cd-r using the 528x480 resolution and the sample at the time was about 5,5 mb/minute!

I have avisynth 2.52 installed.

I encoded the sample using the 352x240 ulbr template, CQ 60, max. bitrate 900 and min. 64 and kept the same 29,97fps frame rate of the source!

The script as i said before was the following:

TMPGenc settings:
VBV Buffer size - 40 kb
Motion search precision - high quality
Video arrange method - full screen (keep aspect ratio)


I must be doing something wrong here, this is WEIRD!

at vcd resolution its better use to cq_vbr
the time specified for the templates are for widescreen
so if your source is full screen the amount you can get on
the cd is going to be less

Hmm, so there`s this problem! :(
I knew there was a difference between widescreen and fullscreen but i didn`t think it was that much. :(

I just encoded here a sample using the kvcdx3-528x480 and it gave me 15,6 mb/minute. 8O

Also i`ve made a sample using ulbr parameters but this time with cq_vbr (CQ used was 60 and max. 900 and min.64) and the result was 5,8 mb/minute.

So i think it´s impossible to encode fullscreen movies up to 360 minutes using these current kvcd ulbr parameters?!
