Whats the difference between the KVCD, KVCDx2, and KVCD Plus templates ?

Whats the difference between the KVCD, KVCDx2, and KVCD Plus templates ? Which is the highest quality ? Also, if I have a source that is 29.97 FPS how do I change the template to reflect that. The templates are set to FILM.

The highest quality are the PLUS templates. If you want to encode at 29.97, just change that in the template. Just make sure that you deinterlace your source, either with TMPEG, or an AviSynth script, if you're making KVCD's. For SVCD's ( or SKVCD, KDVD ), you don't need to deinterlace.

Aspect Ration

When I encode with the PLUS template the aspect ratio on my movies look very screwed up... even when I change it manually. the KVCDx2 encodes normal though.

Just change the input aspect ratio on the template. You should really encode with an AviSynth script, generated automatically by FitCD. This way the output aspect will always be correct.
