in this particular case will this value be used in CQ only?
or can it be used for CQ_VBR????

and using CQ_VBR what will the best MAX and Minimum bitrate values
to use? or just leave those by default (0-3000)?

64-2300
(or 300-2300 if your standalone can't play too low bitrates).

Note: VCD standard is 1150-1150 so I really don't know where you had taken these values.

just load a vcd template on tmpgenc, unlock the rate control option
select cq_vbr
and there they are 0-3000

do the same on kvcdx3 and it says 0-0

thank you again Dialhot

if i ever meet you ill have to pay the beers!

I did that on purpose, so that people wouldn't use CQ_VBR
CQ_VBR is good only for 352x240(28.
Nothing else.
