@boblangdon,
Ok, we'll wait for the results on "Closed GOP".
@leo,
As said previously you should disregard the timer on your standalone.
But if you've been having problems trimming the resulting video
afterwards then you have a problem
You wouldn't be encoding with "Closed GOP" disabled would you?
Even if so, I think you should be able to trim the video anyway.
Can you be a bit more specific and tell us how you're trimming the video?
Is it being done in VDub?
Cheers

thanks for your response.
details I'm currently using dvd2svcd to get my kvcd:
DVD2AVI 1.76(1.05)
Tmpgenc 2.520 Noch matrix 1 24 2 1 24 gop
Avisynth 2.55 release Kwag MA script
BBmpeg 1.24 beta 13
BeSweet v1.5b19
I've tried Closed GOP setting as sugested with same results.
I don't remember making any change to my system nor any new installed program.
About triming, can't do that with tmpgenc because bad timing (it appers to be only 15 to 20 min), i get my video trimmed setting the max file size while doing the muxing with bbmpeg.
Thanks for your help.

A friend of mine claim me for help. He has several movies with same problem. Same of quoted. In your PC same than the mine one.
How we can fix that?

If you have some codepack and you are using Elekard-Moonlight filter (mpeg2), change it, even your problematics movies are mpeg1. I just do it for hiding elecard logo and after this, all movies showed right lenght in wmp and also in tmpgenc. Now I'm tryng vcdeasy. Later I'll post results.

Edited:
Results: Not problem with VCDEasy.

My only problem - and this has been a problem since I started learning about KVCD - is that all my mpegs think they're only from 11-17 minutes long. The full movie plays but the timer says they're only from 11-17 minutes.

I think that's why I can't add chapters. I've tried VCDEasy, TSCR, and VCDWizard. They say chapters are added, but when I play them back, either on TV or in any PC player, the chapters don't work.

I'm using TMPGEnc, VirtyalDub, and BeSweet/Headac3he to encode.

I can\t hel but think the "timing" problem is the cause of my inability to add chapters.

Any Ideas?
I'd really like to have chapters.

Dont mess with your files!!!!!!!!!!
chances are you have some crappy directshow filter messing with your mpeg playback!!!
make sure you dont have any of the elecard filters installed or you get these problems!
When you play one back in Media Player 6.4 right click on movie do properties then advanced and find out what filters are active!

If you installed the Nimo (Nitemare!) codecs pack God help you if you dont remove it all hehe.
go to video-soft.com and download the FREE directshow filter manager!

NOTE if you install DVDXCOPY it reassigns all of your mpeg filters to ELECARD!!!! the moonlight odio dekoda causes havoc with mpeg audio sync!
Also quicktime software v4 thru v5 also reassigns mpeg filters!

be careful!
