I need the first 10 mins of a movie for a school project I'm working on.

Is there an easy way to grab the sample, possibly using TMPGEnc?

Thanks

Yes you can use TMPGEnc.

Click on "File" and then MPEG-tools. And go on merge & cut. There you can cut your KVCD but you have to set Video-CD Nonstandatr.

Use "DIKumciser", and cut your MPEG into as many pieces as you like

If the MPEG is VBR, it will be a variable size.

i think that works:

load the mpeg in vdubmod.

click in edit--->go to--->jump to frame at time---> 10:00.000

see how many frames have and use trim in the script
