Hi Nico,
You can try VCDCutter http://www.seller-club.com/~vcdcut/index.htm

OOPS!, This is for MPEG-1, let me search more, and I'll let you know!

..... Back again. Here: http://www.weethet.nl/english/video_womble_cut.asp

Not cutting an MPEG-2 file. You can mux streams, but not cut .

Hey Nico,

Try the rendalunit solution... it really works great!
You can choose "cut" by file size or play time.

BTW, with this process of demux/remux you don't loose any quality, do you?

one thing that should be noted about this method though is that if you have an 800mb file and you want a 40mb file and a 760mb file- so you set the cut off point at 40mb- you'll end up with 20 ~40mb files!!

Screw all these other ways of doing all this..lol
All I do is select wherever I start the split at the begining of the movie and then select the cut spot, then let it go. Then don't close that window, then copy that exact time frame spot where you cut it at (example: 47:08:03) then paste that into the begin spot of the second cut and then selct the end time frame where I want to cut it at or select the very end of movie (if that's the case) and then go with it. And that will make a perfect cut. It won't even skip a beat.

I have yet had a problem with this method.
