Well my first kvcd plays!!!!

However in the higher frequencies glass smashing etc i get this weird wishy washy noise rather than the correct noise. Could it be because im doing it as 128kps, also im confused as to whether i shoulda used stereo or dual channel. I used stereo and besweet to mixdown the audio from wav if that helps. And yes i did lower to 44100 from the original 48000 if that helps.

Hi Zanny,

Have you tried encoding with HeadAC3he, and see if it sounds the same

No, havent tried HeadAC3he. Maybe i will for my next movie, my player doesnt like cdrw's so im reluctant to keep burning the same movie over and over.

But im gonna do another tonight so Ill try HeadAC3he.

Also could i have screwed it up because i muxed the soundtrack onto a mpeg that already had a soundtrack?

Is your source a DVD with AC3?

It seams that you etract this AC3 Stream as WAVE Downmix.
If that so extract the wohle AC3 with DVD2AVI and encode with HeadAC3he in 128kbps and if you have a sourround system use surround 2 and dual channel if not Stereo.

Hi

Source is 48000 192kps mp3 from a divx if that helps. Im going to try headac3e tonight and see how it goes. Ive extracted the wav as uncompressed audio and gonna try normalizing to 98% during encode as I hear certain DVD players can distort if normalized to 100%.

Try to extract the MP3 as compressed MP3 file and then encode this file with HeadAC3he to mp2. The Quality is better.
