I'm using MEncoder-me 0.22 for make KVCDs and KSVCDs and I have some preblems.

1) If I try to encode a KVCD or KSVCD I have the next error:

Code:

Looks like I did the latest mplayer/mencoder compile specifically for my processor (I forgot to put --disable-runtime-cpudetection), that's why my latest mplayer and mencoder are failing for you. I need to compile again but unfortunatelly the latest CVS is not compiling with win32 codecs support.

You shouldn't use the latest ffdshow, you need the cut-down makeavis which still uses ffvfw.dll. You can have both installed.

Hi VM,
I've been able to successfuly use latest FFdshow's makeAVIS with latest Mencoder builds.
I just had to edit the codecs.conf file put it in a mplayer folder and get the ffdshow.ax file into a codecs folder.
Have you tried that.
We have a thread for that issue undergoing right now.
I just don't remember which one it is
I'll find it and PM it to you.
Cheers buddy

I know it works (we discussed this via PM a while ago), but I think it's more practical for newbies to use the old makeavis because no coping is required...

Anyway didn't understand the last part.
Can you try a different approach so I can get there
Thanks VM
Cheers

I meant no copy of file is required, you don't need to copy any file, just install the cut-down makeavis and that's it.

Thanks for all.

I will try with cut-down MakeAVIS.

Also I will use de previuos mencoder.exe with MEncoder-me 0.22.

Are much quality difference of, speed or compression using script AviSynth (with MakeAVIS) or to directly use the internal filters of MEncoder with MEncoder-me?
