Codecs: Video and Audio with different length

Hi:
A while ago, I was discover that a video stream (VS) had different lenght that the audio stream (AS). I fix it, just changing the mpeg codec.
Yesterday, I uninstalled Mainconcept Encoder (MCE), and next encoding I saw this lenght difference again. But it is not a real difference, is a codec related difference. When I reinstalled MCE (just for text the sistem answer), lenght differences disappear (without re-encoding of course).
Does somebody ear something about this issue?

Could somebody post an "ideal install only this codecs list"

I have the same thing, even a little different, when I import elementary streams under dvdlab.
Audio (mp2) often have 5 second more than the corresponding video and this difference doesn't exist when I play the mp2 and the m2v into zoomplayer.

I use ACE codec pack 5.93 for convenient purpose but I only installed :

- Ligos (all components)
- Divx
- Xvid
- AC3 Decoder ActiveX
- DirectSound 3D renderer
- Divx AntiFreeze
- Huffyuv
- Lame MP3
- Mpeg Layer 2 Audio decoder
- Mpeg Layer 3 Decoder
- Mpeg Layer 3 pro Decoder
- MPEG-2 splitter
- VFAPI reader
- WMA audio decoder
- Vorbis

With that I don't have any problem with any source. Just today with a mkv (rv9 video + ogg audio) I don't have the video, but I will install the codec soon.
